Incident

Online Forms & Online Appointment Booking Access Issues for Xfinity Users

We have received confirmation that this issue has been resolved for our UK customers using BT (British Telecommunications). Please note that it may take up to one business day for users to see the fix take effect.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we continue working to resolve this issue for our remaining customers.

July 14, 10:00 AM CDT

Our team has continued investigating this issue and has confirmed that the remaining access problems are limited to Comcast/Xfinity Business internet connections using SecurityEdge, their business security service.

Earlier this week, Xfinity removed the block affecting residential Xfinity customers using xFi Advanced Security. As a result, patients and clinics using residential Xfinity internet should now be able to access Online Forms and Online Appointment Booking normally.

At this time, the issue appears to be limited to:
- Clinics using Comcast/Xfinity business internet and international ISP providers who use the same security products as Comcast/Xfinity
- Patients trying to access forms/payments from workplaces using Comcast/Xfinity business internet

Unfortunately, Xfinity Business Support has not been able to provide a direct escalation path for SecurityEdge. Based on our investigation, we believe the filtering may be managed through Akamai, and our team is now working directly with them to have our domains reviewed and removed from any remaining blocklists.

Workarounds
If you are still experiencing access issues, you may be able to access Online Forms and Online Appointment Booking by:
- Connecting through a different internet connection, such as a mobile hotspot.
- Accessing the site from a residential internet connection instead of a business network.

We appreciate your patience and will continue to post updates as we make progress toward a full resolution.

Last Thursday, our team began receiving reports from multiple clinics that their patients were unable to access Online Forms and/or Online Appointment Booking.

After investigating, we have determined that the issue is being caused by Xfinity’s XFI Advanced Security service, which is incorrectly blocking Blueprint OMS URLS: myhearingportal.com, editor.myhearingportal.com, and forms.myhearingportal.com.

Xfinity deployed a fix on their end Tuesday night; however, we have continued to receive a small number of reports as recently as this morning from users still experiencing access issues.

Our team is actively working with Xfinity to have this issue reviewed and resolved on their side as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience as we work toward a solution.

We will continue to post progress updates here.
