How to process Countrywide Hearing orders in Blueprint OMS
If your clinic works with Countrywide Hearing, Blueprint OMS offers a streamlined way to process these orders through a feature called Managed Care Orders.
What are managed care orders?
Unlike standard hearing aid orders—where the clinic purchases and resells the devices—managed care orders are handled differently. In the case of Countrywide Hearing, the company supplies the hearing aids directly, and your clinic is compensated with a fitting fee for your services.
Why use managed care processing?
It’s important not to record these orders as zero-value sales. Doing so can distort key metrics like unit sales and average selling price, leading to inaccurate reporting.
Instead, by using the Managed Care workflow in Blueprint OMS:
- The hearing aid units are excluded from your clinic’s sales statistics
- You can still track the order status within the system
- You can bill Countrywide Hearing appropriately for your services
This approach ensures accurate reporting and efficient order tracking—without affecting your clinic’s performance data.
